Introducing your new AlertNet - coming soon
In redesigning AlertNet, our aim is to provide you with a fast, interactive website, covering humanitarian issues with greater depth, and with much better search and navigation options.
We've consulted heavily with our members in redeveloping the site so far.
We're keen to build a website that gives you the information you need to do your job more effectively, whilst also giving you better ways to present your work to the public, journalists, government officials and others who use our site.
Some of the new features of "AlertNet 2010" will include:
• A dedicated climate change section, putting the spotlight on the humanitarian impacts of global warming
• A new, improved interactive map, featuring geo-located news, jobs, blogs and aid agency press contacts
• Fast, effective search and navigation options
• Dedicated pages for each of our member NGOs giving a place to display all your latest news, jobs, campaigns, blogs, videos, pictures and appeals
• Better integration of Who works where throughout the site, making it easier for journalists to get in touch
• New video and photo slideshow capability
• An expanded blogging engine, built on a brand new blogging platform
We're really excited to present the new site to you early next year.
Please do update your details so we can keep in touch about our progress.
