Aug 21 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 0930 GMT on Sunday.

*BADGHIS - A roadside mine killed three policemen in the Bala Morghab district of western Badghis province on Saturday, Badghis police chief Abdul Jabar Saleh said.

*KUNAR - Insurgents wounded nine civilians in two areas of eastern Kunar province on Sunday, Kunar police chief Ewaz Mohammad Naziri said.

*WARDAK - Afghan security forces killed three insurgents and detained two more in the Nerkh district of the southwestern province of Wardak on Saturday, Wardak police chief Qayom Baqizoi said.

*HELMAND - A prosecutor for the Grishk district of southern Helmand province was killed as by two gunmen on a motorcycle as he left his home on Sunday, Helmand's provincial governor said in a statement.

Nobody has claimed responsibility for the attack and the gunmen evaded capture, local officials said.

HELMAND - A roadside mine killed four civilians and destroyed their car in the Nawzad district of southern Helmand province on Sunday, Nawzad District Governor Sayed Murad Agha said.

KABUL - Afghan security forces and troops from the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) killed six insurgents, wounded one and detained 57 in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement.

JALALABAD - An ISAF drone on a routine patrol crashed in Jalalabad city in the eastern Nangarhar province late on Saturday. The exact cause of failure is under investigation, but ISAF said initial indications showed possible mechanical failure. No one was hurt by the crash, ISAF said.

A Taliban spokesman said the group was responsible for shooting it down. A Reuters witness said two houses were damaged by the crash.

KABUL - A 10-year old Pakistani boy who wanted to commit a suicide attack was arrested by police in Kandahar city, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement. Three months ago, the boy was kidnapped from Quetta, Pakistan, and taken to an insurgent centre to be groomed to carry out the suicide attack, the statement said. (Compiled by Kabul bureau)
