Oct 24 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 1030 GMT on Monday:

* KABUL - A service member with the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) died following an improvised explosive device attack in southern Afghanistan on Monday, the coalition said in a statement. It gave no further details.
KABUL - One insurgent was killed by Afghan National Police and International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) forces during a joint operation on Monday in search of a Taliban leader in Helmand province, south-west of Kabul, the coalition said in a statement. Two insurgents were detained.
KABUL - Several insurgents were killed during a joint airstrike by the Afghan National Police and the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in the Paktiya province, south of Kabul, the coalition said in a statement.
KABUL - An International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service member died following an improvised explosive device attack by insurgents in eastern Afghanistan late on Sunday, the coalition said a statement. It gave no other details. (Compiled by Kabul bureau)
