Oct 28 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 0550 GMT on Friday:
KABUL - An International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service member died following an improvised explosive device attack in southern Afghanistan, the coalition said a statement. It gave no other details.
KABUL - Several insurgents were killed during a security operation conducted throughout the week by the Afghan National Police and the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in the Uruzgan province, south-west of Kabul, the coalition said in a statement. The dead included an insurgent leader who had coordinated prison escapes and suicide bombing attacks and several insurgents were also detained, the coalition said.
