Jan 6 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1430 GMT on Thursday.
MOSUL - An Iraqi army force foiled an attack against a church, after receiving intelligence of the threat. They defused six bombs and two explosive vests found near the church in central Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, an Iraqi army source said.
HAWIJA - A sticky bomb attached to a car wounded an off-duty policeman in the town of Hawija, 210 km (130 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
