Jan 27 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1100 GMT on Friday.
BAGHDAD - At least 31 people were killed when a suicide bomber detonated his explosives near a funeral procession in a Shi'ite neighbourhood in Baghdad, police and hospital sources said. Around another 60 were wounded in the attack on Zaafaraniyah neighbourhood.
BAGHDAD - Gunmen carrying silenced weapons shot dead two policemen at their checkpoint in Zaafaraniya in southeastern Baghdad, police said.
MOSUL - Gunmen killed an electrician working at a neighbourhood electricity generator in western Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, Nineveh police said.
MOSUL - Gunmen killed an off-duty soldier in a market in western Mosul and a civil servant who worked at a Mosul court was found dead near his house in southern Mosul, police said. (Reporting by Baghdad newsroom)
