July 22 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 2030 GMT on Friday.

* KIRKUK - Gunmen killed a doctor in central Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, when he resisted an attempt to kidnap him in front of his house, police said.
* MOSUL - One gunman was killed and two others were wounded when security forces clashed with an armed group in Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, a military source said.
* MOSUL - A hand grenade exploded near a police patrol, seriously wounding one policeman in Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
* MOSUL - A mortar shell exploded near a security checkpoint, wounding a soldier, police said.
BAQUBA - Gunmen using silenced weapons attacked a checkpoint manned by Iraqi police and killed four policemen and a civilian in the west of Baquba, 65 km (40 miles) northeast of Baghdad, a Baquba police source said. The source said another five policemen were later wounded when a mini-bus used in the attack exploded while security forces tried to check the vehicle.
BAGHDAD - Two policemen were killed and eight wounded including four policeman when a bomb went off close to a liquor store in Baghdad's western district of Mansour, an interior ministry source said. The source said a second bomb went off when fire-fighters were trying to put out a blaze ignited by the first explosion.
TARMIYA - Six people from one family, including a woman and two children, were wounded when a bomb went off close to their house in Tarmiya, 25 km (15 miles) north of Baghdad, an interior ministry source said.
