FACTBOX-Security developments in Iraq, July 3

July 3 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 0930 GMT on Sunday.

* Denotes new or updated item.

* HASWA - Gunmen using silencer guns shot dead two police officers working in the Interior Ministry's criminal investigation department in separate incidents in Haswa, 50 km (30 miles) south of Baghdad, a Babil police source said.

* JURF AL-SAKHAR - A sticky bomb attached to the car of a government-backed Sunni Sahwa militia member killed him when it went off in Jurf al-Sakhar, 60 km (40 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

* BAGHDAD - Gunmen in a speeding car using silencer guns shot dead an off-duty policeman in Baghdad's southwestern Jihad district, an Interior Ministry source said.

* KIRKUK - Police found the body of a man in his thirties with bullet wounds to the head and chest in northern Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

KIRKUK - A roadside bomb killed one civilian and wounded another just southwest of Kirkuk, police said.

DAQUQ - Two militants were killed whilst trying to plant a roadside bomb in Daquq, 200 km (125 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

RUTBA - Gunmen opened fire at an Iraqi police vehicle and killed four policemen in Rutba, 360 km (255 miles) west of Baghdad, late on Saturday, police said, adding that the gunmen stole the vehicle and the policemen's weapons.

RUTBA - Five gunmen kidnapped two people, including the imam of a mosque, in Rutba late on Saturday, police said.

QAIYARA - Gunmen shot dead an off-duty policeman and wounded another in Qaiyara, 290 km (180 miles) north of Baghdad, late on Saturday, police said.
