May 19 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1300 GMT on Thursday.

* Denotes a new or updated item.

* QAIYARA - A roadside bomb exploded near an Iraq army patrol, killing four soldiers, in the town of Qaiyara, 290 km (180 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

KIRKUK - Two car bombs and a sticky bomb exploded near police headquarters, killing up to 25 people and wounding more than 60, in the northern city of Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, security and hospital sources said.

BAGHDAD - A sticky bomb attached to a cleric's car blew up in central Baghdad, killing the cleric and wounding two passers-by, an Interior Ministry source said.

BAQUBA - A parked car bomb targeting the convoy of police Lieutenant-Colonel Abdul Hameed al-Shimari, the emergency response unit commander in Diyala province, killed two civilians and wounded 10 people in Baquba, 65 km (40 miles) northeast of Baghdad, an Interior Ministry source said.

Shimari escaped injury but three of his guards were among the wounded, the source said.
