Lebanese army says Israeli fire killed 10 at border

BEIRUT, May 15 (Reuters) - The Lebanese army said on Sunday Israeli soldiers fired in the direction of a gathering at the Lebanese border village of Maroun al-Ras, killing 10 people and wounding 112.
The army said it was in a state of maximum alert and had coordinated with U.N. peacekeepers in southern Lebanon "to prevent the enemy from continuing its targeting of the masses and its violation of Lebanese sovereignty".
