TRIPOLI, Nov 23 (Reuters) - The International Criminal Court's (ICC) chief prosecutor said on Wednesday that Saif al-Islam Gaddafi can be tried inside Libya provided there is a judicial process that does not shield him from international justice.
Speaking at a news conference in Tripoli, Luis Moreno-Ocampo said it was very important for Libya that Saif al-Islam, the captured son of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, is tried inside Libya. The ICC earlier this year issued a warrant for Saif al-Islam's arrest on charges of crimes against humanity. (Reporting by Francois Murphy; Writing by Christian Lowe; Editing by Alison Williams)
