July 12 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 1330 GMT on Tuesday.

* KANDAHAR - The younger half-brother of Afghan President Hamid Karzai, one of the most powerful and controversial men in southern Afghanistan, was shot dead at his home on Tuesday by a senior and highly trusted bodyguard, officials said.
* KUNAR - Four Afghan civilians were killed in a foreign air strike while fixing a water pump in Asmar district of northeastern Kunar province on Tuesday, Kunar governor Fazlullah Wahidi said.
He said a nearby foreign base had come under an insurgent attack and the civilians may have been mistaken for firing rockets at the base.
A spokesman for the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) confirmed an air strike had been called in after one of the force's bases came under attack in Kunar but said only six insurgents were killed.
"We have no reports of any damages or civilian casualties," he said.
KABUL - An ISAF service member was killed by an explosive device in western Afghanistan on Tuesday, the coalition said in a statement. It gave no other details. (Compiled by Kabul bureau; Editing by Yoko Nishikawa)
