SANAA, Jan 31 (Reuters) - At least three al Qaeda militants were killed in a clash with Yemeni government soldiers on Tuesday, security sources and tribesmen said.
Security sources said five Yemeni soldiers were also wounded in the clash outside Radda, a small town located 170 km (105 miles) southeast of Sanaa. Tribal sources put the death toll among Yemeni soldiers at five.
One source said the attack by Yemeni troops targeted Tareq al-Dahab, a relative of assassinated U.S. citizen and al Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki. The source said Dahab was not harmed. (Reporting by Mohammed Ghobari, writing by Sami Aboudi)
