Tropical Depression Two formed over the northwestern Caribbean Sea and was approaching coast of Belize, U.S. government forecasters said.

The depression could emerge into the Bay of Campeche, home to key Mexican oil operations, on Tuesday.

The storm was about 60 miles (95 km) east of Monkey River Town, Belize, and packing maximum sustained winds of 35 miles per hour (55 kph), the Miami-based National Hurricane Center said. (Reporting by Shrutee Sarkar in Bangalore; Editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
