Tropical storm Man-yi is forecast to strike Japan at about 21:00 GMT on 15 September. Data supplied by the US Navy and Air Force Joint Typhoon Warning Center suggest that the point of landfall will be near 33.9 N, 137.9 E. Man-yi is expected to bring 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around 111 km/h (69 mph). Wind gusts in the area may be considerably higher.
