TOKYO - Japanese model Kurara Chibana was today appointed the first National Ambassador against Hunger for Japan for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). Elisabeth Rasmusson, WFP's Assistant Executive Director for Partnership and Governance Services, announced the appointment at a ceremony in Tokyo during her visit to Japan, and presented Chibana with a €2 WFP commemorative coin, a symbolic payment for her dedication.
