TRIPOLI, Feb 6 (Reuters) - Unidentified gunmen attacked and tried to storm the Libyan army command headquarters in Tripoli on Thursday, clashing with soldiers there, an army spokesman said.

The details of the incident were not clear and there were no immediate reports of any casualties.

"We clashed with them when they tried to enter," Ali al-Sheikhi, an army spokesman said. (Reporting by Ghaith Shennib; Writing by Patrick Markey; Editing by Hugh Lawson)
