CAIRO, Feb 24 (Reuters) - Egypt's interim president Adly Mansour has asked prime minister Hazem el-Beblawi to run the government's affairs until a new prime minister is selected, the state-run al-Ahram news website reported on Monday.

Beblawi had earlier announced the resignation of his cabinet, formed last year after the army's ouster of elected Islamist President Mohamed Mursi in reaction to protests against him. (Reporting by Yasmine Saleh; Editing by Catherine Evans)
