LOS ANGELES, June 11 (Reuters) - Deejay Casey Kasem will be transitioned back to "comfort-oriented care" by his children following a Los Angeles court ruling allowing them to do so, a spokesman for Kasem's children from his first marriage said on Wednesday.

Kasem, 82, who has been in hospice care at a Washington state hospital, has been caught in a legal tussle between his daughter and wife over his care. The longtime host of "American Top 40" countdown suffers from a form of dementia and his doctors had recommended he quit being fed and hydrated. (Reporting by Eric Kelsey; Editing by Jim Loney)
