Tropical depression AL04 is forecast to strike the Bahamas as a tropical storm at about 12:00 GMT on 24 August. Data supplied by the US National Hurricane Center suggest that the point of landfall will be near 23.1 N, 73.4 W. AL04 is expected to bring 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around 64 km/h (40 mph). Wind gusts in the area may be considerably higher.
