PERTH, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Australian Resource Minister Martin Ferguson said mining firms now realised that the government would go ahead with its planned 30 percent resource tax and were discussing how the tax should be implemented.
Ferguson&${esc.hash}39;s comments came after the first round of talks by a mining tax committee, led by Ferguson and former BHP Billiton chairman Don Argus, aimed at working out the details of the 2012 tax on iron ore, oil and gas producers.
