LONDON (TrustLaw) - Child marriage destroys the innocence of millions of girls around the world and perpetuates a cycle of poverty, ignorance and discrimination, campaigners say.

An estimated 10 million girls under the age of 18 are married each year, often without consent and sometimes to much older men, according to the children’s charity Plan UK.
