SANTIAGO, Sept 2 (Reuters) - The remains of a Chilean air force plane that disappeared near the Juan Fernandez islands off Chile's Pacific coast on Friday with 21 people aboard have been found in the sea, the islands' mayor told state television.
Mayor Leopoldo Gonzalez told state television TVN the remains had been found in the sea about a kilometer (0.6 mile) away from the islands' landing strip. Local media said the plane was a CASA military aircraft.
