BEIRUT, July 16 (Reuters) - Fresh clashes broke out on Monday between rebels and government forces in the Syrian capital Damascus, activists said, after heavy clashes the day before.
"There are clashes now in Midan and Zahera, two cars were burned," said one activist who was close to the scene.
The fighting between rebels and government forces was the heaviest in the capital in a 17-months revolt against President Bashar al-Assad.
