Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1500 GMT on Saturday.

*MOSUL - Two militants were wounded when a bomb they were handling exploded inside a house in western Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, a local police source said.

*MOSUL - Gunman threw a hand grenade at an Iraqi police checkpoint and wounded one policeman in western Mosul, a local police source said.

BAGHDAD - Gunmen in a speeding car killed Adil Jaijan, a mosque imam, using silenced weapons in the Baladiyat district of eastern Baghdad, police and hospital sources said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb went off near an ice cream shop, killing two people and wounding ten others, on Friday night, in Baghdad's western Jamiaa district, police and hospital sources said. (Compiled by Baghdad bureau)
