Dec 14 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1600 GMT on Wednesday.

* Indicates a new or updated item

* TAL AFAR - Two car bombs exploded near shops and restaurants in Tal Afar, about 420 km (260 miles) north of Baghdad, killing at least three people and wounding 35 others, a police source said.

* KIRKUK - A sticky bomb attached to a car wounded the driver in southern Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, a security source said.

* KIRKUK - Gunmen in a speeding car wounded an off-duty Kurdish security official in northern Kirkuk, a security source said.

MOSUL - Gunmen opened fire at an Iraqi army checkpoint and killed a soldier in eastern Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - A roadside bomb wounded a woman in southern Mosul, police said.

BAGHDAD - Gunmen in a car wounded a police colonel inside his vehicle in southern Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb went off near a traffic police patrol and wounded three people in central Baghdad, police said. (Compiled by Baghdad bureau)
