Feb 5 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1300 GMT on Saturday.

SAMARRA - A parked car bomb exploded, wounding nine civilians including an Iranian pilgrim, in the city of Samarra, 100 km (62 miles) north of Baghdad, a police officer from the Samarra police operations centre said.

ABU GHRAIB - Gunmen wounded four Iraqi soldiers when they opened fire at a security checkpoint in the district of Abu Ghraib in western Baghdad, police said.

BALAD - A parked car bomb wounded two civilians when it went off in Balad, 80 km (50 miles) north of Baghdad, the governor of Salahuddin province said.

TUZ KHURMATO - A roadside bomb targeting a provincial council member wounded two of his guards on Friday in Tuz Khurmato, 170 km (105 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - A roadside bomb wounded an Iraqi soldier on Friday when it went off near his patrol in eastern Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
