Jan 8 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1400 GMT on Saturday.

ABU GHRAIB - A roadside bomb went off near an Iraqi army patrol and wounded eight people in the Abu Ghraib area on the western outskirts of Baghdad, police said.

TAJI - Gunmen killed an off-duty policeman with guns equipped with silencers, in Taji, 20 km (12 miles) north of Baghdad, an Interior Ministry source said.

KHAN BANI SAAD - An Iraqi soldier was killed and another one was wounded when a roadside bomb hit their patrol in the town of Khan Bani Saad, near Baquba, 65 km north of Baghdad, police said.

BAQUBA - A bomb killed a woman and her four-year-old nephew in the village of Hashmiyat, west of Baquba, police said.

BAGHDAD - Gunmen killed an employee who works at the Health Ministry with guns equipped with silencers on Thursday night, in Baghdad's southwestern Bayaa district, an Interior Ministry source said.
