Jan 6 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1600 GMT on Friday.

* Indicates a new or updated item.

* BAGHDAD - Two Katyusha rockets landed in the outskirts of Baghdad's Green Zone, a heavily fortified area that houses government buildings and foreign embassies, police said. No casualties were reported.

* BAGHDAD - A Katyusha rocket landed behind a cinema in central Baghdad, wounding five civilians, police said.

BAGHDAD - A mortar landed in a residential area in the Washash district of western Baghdad, wounding three civilians and damaging a house, police said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb exploded in the Husseiniya district of northern Baghdad near Shi'ite pilgrims headed for the annual Arbain religious observance in the Shi'ite holy city of Kerbala, wounding five people, police said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb went off in Baghdad's southern Abu

Dsheer district, killing one Shi'ite pilgrim and wounding seven others, police said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb exploded in a major intersection in the Saidiya district of southern Baghdad, killing a Shi'ite pilgrim and wounding five others, police said.

BALAD RUZ - A roadside bomb went off near a tractor and killed its driver in Balad Ruz, 90 km (55 miles) northeast of Baghdad, a source in the Baquba security operations centre said. (Compiled by Baghdad bureau)
