July 1 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 0945 GMT on Friday.

* Denotes new or updated item.

* KHALDIYA - Gunmen in a speeding car shot dead a government-backed Sunni Sahwa militia member in Khaldiya, 83 km (50 miles) west of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - Gunmen wearing military uniform set up a fake checkpoint and killed two policemen and a Kurdish security force member late on Thursday, police said. The incident occurred just north of Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad.

MOSUL - Iraqi oil police killed one oil smuggler and arrested another while they were trying to steal oil from a pipeline late on Thursday, police said. The incident happened just northwest of Mosul.
