July 2 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1000 GMT on Saturday.

MOSUL - A parked car bomb exploded near an Iraqi army patrol, wounding eight people, including two soldiers, in eastern Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - Gunmen opened fire at a police checkpoint, killing one policeman in central Mosul, police said. KIRKUK - Gunmen in a speeding car shot at two people and wounded them late on Friday in southeastern Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
