Sept 1 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1100 GMT on Thursday.

MOSUL - Thirty-five prisoners facing terrorism charges escaped through a sewage pipe from a temporary jail in the city of Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police and security officials said. Police recaptured 21 and imposed a curfew on the city as they looked for the rest, officials said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb went off near an Iraqi army patrol, killing one soldier and wounding two in an area just south of Baghdad, an interior ministry source said. (Compiled by Baghdad bureau)
