Oct 15 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Pakistan at 0345 GMT on Saturday.
SOUTH WAZIRISTAN - Four missiles fired by suspected U.S. drone aircraft struck a militant compound in a village in South Waziristan's tribal region on the Afghan border, killing three insurgents and wounding one, local intelligence officials said.
The missile strike targeted the suspected hideout of militants loyal to Maulvi Nazir, a Pakistani Taliban commander, whose group is known for attacks in Afghanistan, not in Pakistan.
