First Foundation course of the year kicks off in Miami

Television journalists from the Caribbean and Latin America gathering in Miami to attend the Thomson Reuters Foundation Making Video News course.

Twelve participants travelled from Mexico, Costa Rica, Bahamas, St Maarten, Barbados, Colombia, St Lucia, Belize, Antigua and Barbuda and St Vincent for the course which started on Monday January 14.

The five day course includes camerawork, scripting, editing and other elements of video news production. 

 It is being taught by former Reuters Television journalist Lloyd Watson, who is now an International Media Consultant, and freelance cameraman Steve Hignett.
