TOKYO, Jan 18 (Reuters) - Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has cancelled part of his scheduled trip in Southeast Asia due to the hostage crisis in Algeria, Kyodo news agency reported on Friday, quoting a deputy chief cabinet secretary.
Japanese engineering firm JGC Corp said earlier in the day that it had been able to contact three of its Japanese workers in Algeria, but that 14 Japanese were still unaccounted for.
