Philippines’ Customs Commissioner Rufino Biazon has released a statement warning the public against providing favours to people or businesses claiming to be his relatives or friends, the Philippine Star reported.

Those who try to use his name in order to influence any transactions or Customs personnel will face sanctions, Biazon added.

“I encourage everyone to report to my office any transaction/shipment where my name or that of any member of my family or friends is being name-dropped so that appropriate sanctions could be instituted,” Biazon was quoted as saying.
