JOHANNESBURG, Oct 4 (Reuters) - South African police fired tear gas at striking miners near the Rustenburg operations of the world's top platinum producer Anglo American Platinum , Talk Radio 702 reported on Thursday, as seven weeks of labour unrest show little sign of abating.
The radio station also reported that the striking miners hurled stones at the police.
