Oct 14(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1500 GMT on Friday.

*Indicates a new or updated item.

*MOSUL - Gunmen in a speeding car shot and wounded a civilian in western Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

*MOSUL - Iraqi army forces killed a militant when they pursued him after he killed a civilian in eastern Mosul, police said.

BAQUBA - A roadside bomb went off and wounded six civilians in northeastern Baquba, 65 km (40 miles) northeast of Baghdad, a local police source said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb exploded near a coffee shop followed by another bomb nearby, killing at least 16 people and wounding 40 others in Baghdad's northeastern Sadr City district late on Thursday, police and witnesses said.

BAGHDAD - Two roadside bombs exploded in succession near a local market, killing two civilians and wounding seven others in Baghdad's Sadr City district late on Thursday, a local police source said.

HILLA - Guards for the head of Babil provincial council killed one gunman and wounded two others who were trying to rob a money exchange office in central Hilla, 100 km (62 miles) south of Baghdad on Thursday, a local police source said. The council head's convoy was passing nearby and engaged the attackers who were using silenced weapons. (Compiled by Baghdad bureau)
