Typhoon Guchol struck Japan as a tropical storm at about 08:00 GMT on 19 June.Data supplied by theUS Navy and Air Force Joint Typhoon Warning Centersuggest that the point of landfallwasnear33.0 N,135.3 E.Guchol brought 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around101 km/h (63 mph).Wind gusts in the area mayhave beenconsiderably higher. The information above is provided for guidance only and should not be used to make life or death decisions or decisions relating to property.
