We are looking for a creative, driven, and experienced leader to join our Business Programmes Hub to lead our Business and Philanthropy Programme Development Team which aims to build our capacity to identify and deliver sector-leading partnership models with the private sector and philanthropists, co-design innovative programmes with our partners that can achieve transformational change for children, and write outstanding proposals to secure these partnerships.
Our Global Programmes department delivers humanitarian and development programmes, and builds partnerships with institutional donors, businesses, philanthropists, trusts and foundations to drive lasting change. Within this department, our Business Programmes Hub focuses specifically on developing and delivering innovative programmes with private sector and philanthropic partners.
As Programme Development Team Lead for our Business and Philanthropy Partnerships, you will directly lead and influence how the organisation strengthens our global ability to develop and secure transformational partnerships. You will manage the team through an exciting period as we implement our cross-organisational Business Partnerships Strategy, ensuring we have the creativity, drive and skills to work with businesses and philanthropists to co-design programmes that leverage their unique assets and capabilities to realise our ambitions for children.
You will:
- Oversee the identification and development of high quality programmes and proposals for businesses and philanthropists, especially supporting the development of innovative partnership models that simultaneously create value for children and for business
- Play a leadership role in the Business Programmes Hub to operationalise our organisation-wide Business Partnerships Strategy, working closely with the Head of Business Partnerships
- Work directly with country programmes, regional offices, and wider Save the Children International teams to build the organisation’s capacity to design sector-leading business partnerships
- Develop and manage a high performing Programme Development team, overseeing the professional development of four full-time staff
You will have passion to work for Save the Children and a commitment to develop well designed proposals, whilst building excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders. With a keen eye for detail, demonstrable technical knowledge, and unrivalled problem solving and decision making skills, you will have:
- Deep knowledge of corporate societal engagement and business’ motivating factors to partner with NGOs, including a solid understanding of shared value and CSR
- The ability to translate your knowledge of corporate societal engagement into innovative partnership ideas, well-articulated concept notes, and successful proposals
- A proven track record with the development sector in writing successful high value proposals
- Experience line managing a team to deliver results and drive improvements in ways of working
