The role

The CRG (Child Rights Governance) program Advisorr manages the technical part of Save the Children’s CRG program in Niger, under the supervision of the Director of programs quality and development.

The incumbent’s responsibilities includes supervision of assessments, update and implementation of the CRG program strategy; ensure the technical supervision of the program and the staff, writing proposals, reports and evaluation of programs.

The person is also responsible of representing Save the Children at the national level to coordinate with the Government and other partners, including civil society, and conducting advocacy.

As the Child Rights governance intervention is integrated in a cross-domain approach with protection, education, health/nutrition, food security, the CRG Advisor, in coordination with the relevant sectors ensures the maximum integration of project activities.


Qualifications and experience

  • University degree at least Bachelor in law, social sciences, organization management, development economics, or other equivalent degrees SMDP (Senior Management Development Program of Save the children)
  • Solid knowledge on the rights of the child and the universal principles of human rights;
  • Solid knowledge in the development and a minimum of 3 years experience in humanitarian work.
  • Experience in Child Rights Governance, management programs, and capacity strengthening for civil society and the development of training curricula.
  • Experiences on advocacy with the authorities,
  • Experiences in partnership with the private sector.
  • Experiences on collaboration with civil society.
  • Proven experience in drafting proposals to donors, strategies and reports with various donors and understanding of logical framework or results framework.
  • Experiences in budget management.
  • Knowledge of community-based health principles and community mobilization in development projects.
  • Knowledge of computer tools, including common software such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint...
  • Good knowledge in CRG, law, and child participation
  • Networking experiences and working with other agencies
  • Speaking, writing and reading in French and English very fluently.
