Role and Responsibilities
Coordinate and facilitate the programme teams for preparation of specific bids, proposals and reports for submission to institutional donors, maintain appropriate information systems, track the progress of proposals and reports, research new funding sources and support the Country Representatives and Regional Representative in donor relationship management as required. The PFM also coordinates internal regional meetings and exchanges. Providing strategic support, monitoring, review and evaluation of all aspects of Medair’s programme, the PFM plays a key role in grant management and regional coordination.
Project Overview
In response to the Syrian Crisis, delivering emergency assistance to Syrian refugees and host communities in Jordan and Lebanon, and to Syrian IDPs when possible. Projects in the sectors of Health, Nutrition, WASH, Shelter and Cash assistance.

Key Activity Areas
Donor Relations Management

Coordinate and facilitate the drafting and presentation of all proposals and operational reports related to the regional programme, in collaboration with the relevant senior field managers and HQ staff

Maintain current analysis of institutional donor humanitarian policy and practice, trends and funding opportunities.

Support the Regional Representative and Country Representatives in maintaining efficient donor relationship management e.g. tracking current donors, future opportunities, contact details and disseminating information,
-
Facilitating the development and drafting of proposals for private funding, often in collaboration with Communications Officer as part of Private Donor relationship management.
Communication
-
Ensuring that best practice is communicated, followed and shared in all aspects of grants management across the teams.

With the Regional Representative and Country Representatives, develop, network and maintain good relations with the in-country representatives of relevant funding partners (e.g. institutional donors or private donor organisations) in order to secure funding for the regional programme.

Production of and dissemination of regional deadlines, calendars and other similar information needs.

Work with Communications Officer to ensure accurate programme information for internal and external communications materials.
Programme Management

Work with the Regional Representative (and Country Representatives) and HQ staff to develop and implement relevant and sustainable regional strategy and country strategies.

Plan and implement regional meetings, retreats, exchanges, and facilitate collaboration.
Grant Management

Coordinate and track institutional donor proposals and reports, managed by the Regional Representative and/or Country Representatives and in consultation with other senior field managers, HQ staff and the Head of Country Programmes (HCP), enabling all donor requirements and deadlines to be met.

Maintain an overview of the country programme’s relationships with, and funding from, Medair’s key institutional donors especially the Swiss Development Cooperation, Swiss Solidarity, the Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID), DFID (UKAid), ECHO as well as MCC, CIDA, SIDA and UN agencies; providing analysis and information to senior management.

At least 1 years post-qualification experience in a complex humanitarian emergency
