The role

In this role, as part of the new Programme Strategy and Impact Team, you will provide strategic leadership and drive improvements to the quality and impact of Oxfam’s influencing and campaigning interventions at national, regional and global levels in an integrated way that builds capacity, strengthens knowledge management, and improves programme practice. You will work with Global and Regional Advisors to understand how programmes operate and draw on your insight and skills to train and support our teams on the ground. Sharing your knowledge and skills, you will help to shape a stronger, more proactive and integrated approach to MEL of influencing work – enabling Oxfam staff and partners to further improve the design and effectiveness of programmes and projects employing these strategies in order to deliver the maximum benefit to the people with whom and for whom Oxfam works. Drawing on this experience, you will also engage with and influence policy and practice in the wider sector.

What we’re looking for

With a strong technical background in MEL, you will have experience in research methods for hard to measure areas like advocacy and campaigning. Using your experience and analytical skills you willdesign and deliver strategic learning, and offer advice, information and support to a diverse group. Results-driven and passionate about measurement, you will inspire and motivate teams and be willing to travel as necessary. You will have strong organisation, coordination and prioritisation skills, as well as the communication and networking abilities to work with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
