Contract length: 7 Months

LOCATION: Roving – based in Bangui with deployments to Field offices


The role

  1. Lead the Car Reset change management process and ensure effective Reset work plans are in place for each function (Human Resources, Finance, Awards, Logistics, Legal and Compliance) with measurable indicators in place to track progress
  2. Ensure resolution of major historical issues relating to functional back logs, scope and scale, funding, structure staffing, delivery and security management
  3. Facilitate and guide the development of a programme management framework and sustainable organisational model at Country Office level and Field Office level, in line with SCI’s policies.
  4. Support the CO in the development of the 2016-2018 country strategic plan, its funding strategy and ensure it is aligned with the organisational structure
  5. Ensure, support and monitor the rollout of policies and procedures and the implementation of action plans (E.g. Audit report, Reset Operational Rapid Assessment Report recommendations) through the work of the Reset team members
  6. Define and measure success metrics, monitor change progress and report on progress and achievements

Qualifications and experience

Essential

  • Knowledge of SCI processes and procedures
  • Extensive operational and/or project management, planning and implementation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, to analyse complex information and offer creative, practical solutions.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, the ability to influence and motivate others. The role will involve liaison with a wide range of people, both internally and externally, and will require the ability to deal with people at all levels with credibility, tact and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain objective/neutral
  • Intellectually flexible – a lateral thinker, open to new ideas and methodologies
  • Proven ability to embrace and champion change
  • Results oriented, with experience in developing and monitoring performance measurement/benefits realisation mechanisms
  • Demonstrated ability to promptly adapt to different ways of working (flexibility), as in this new organization the context is quickly evolving

  • Demonstrated ability to act independently and take on challenges willingly
  • Mobility – the role will require spending a considerable amount of time (at least 60%) in field locations.
  • Fluent in written and oral French and English

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the Central Africa Republic Humanitarian and Development context
  • Experience in change management processes in NGOs
  • Experience in the use of SCI tools (AMS, Agresso)
