The role


The role sits within the International Programmes Team, based in Oxford, and is responsible for developing and implementing an integrated, cutting-edge approach to learning and communications on smallholder agriculture and women’s economic empowerment, which supports the delivery of the Gendered Enterprise and Markets (GEM) programme.

 

What we are looking for


We’re looking for a learning and communications coordinator with a well-developed ability to manage and support learning processes and activities, gather information from a variety of sources and synthesise to provide evidence, capture learning and for donor reporting.  You will have excellent communication skills, with proven ability to communicate both verbally and in writing and to produce quality communications products in a variety of formats, and good networking and influencing skills.

In this demanding and fast-paced role, you will coordinate learning and communications for the Gendered Enterprise and Markets Programme, which is currently being implemented in approximately 14 countries, with a focus on 3 DFID match grant funded countries (Bangladesh, Tajikistan and Zambia). This will include supporting country staff and partners on learning and capacity-building. The overall role includes promoting the GEM community of practice, DFID reporting, learning processes, communications and tools development, working closely with global technical and M&E advisors, regional leads and country programme staff and partners.

 

This is a fixed-term contract until December 2015.
