You will be part of our multi-disciplinary team of Friends-International (FI), comprised of over 600 professionals committed to creating innovative social services for youth, children and families worldwide.

What will you do?

As an International Grants Manager your mission will be to enable the ongoing service delivery to marginalized children, youth and families; and to contribute to the design of new projects by securing funding for our programs in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Indonesia.

This includes closely coordinating our teams in writing grants proposals for institutional donors, trusts and foundations and private donors.

Your responsibilities as the INTERNATIONAL GRANTS MANAGER will be to:

  • Take the lead on securing funding for all FI programs
  • Coordinate teams to designing and developing new proposals and to prepare funding submissions
  • Represent FI with various stakeholders and work on strengthening the relationship with donors
  • Build capacity of staff to better meet the donor rules, regulations and priorities
  • Contribute to the design of fundraising strategies for FI programs
  • Provide guidance to FI Support Offices based in Europe and the US on fundraising
  • Directly manage a team of 2 Grant Officers and provide remote supervision to 5 Technical Assistants in FI programs

About you:

  • You have strong experience working with institutional donors such as UNICEF, USAID, GFTM, EU
  • You have proven track record of successful concept notes, log frames, grant proposals
  • You are confident when communicating to variety of different audiences and presenting ideas in a persuasive way
  • You have superb English writing skills
  • You get excitement about deadlines and working in a dynamic environment
  • You have good understanding of the South East Asian development context

You will be based in our Head Quarters in Phnom Penh with occasional travels in the region.
