Fixed term Contract: 6 months Duration
Part-time: 3 days a week.

This entry level role will report to one of the team’s Project Managers and will primarily provide support on a project being launched in 2014. The project is focussed on Africa (including Francophone West Africa) and aims to improve media coverage of financial and extractives issues that are central to development.

Key Responsibilities
- To provide logistical support for activities including workshops and mentoring schemes
- To be a point of contact for project participants
- To provide support to Project Managers on project finances, including processing invoices and keeping records of spending
- To support Project Managers with regular project reports
- To write website content relating to the project
- To perform data capture and maintain database records
- To assist with other duties as required

Qualifications

Qualifications
- This is an entry level role so some exposure to office work will be of benefit
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Highly motivated with ability to work independently or in a team environment; a self-starter and able to work with changing priorities and time pressures
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with people from different cultures and backgrounds
- Fluency in English is required
- Fluency or near-fluency in French is strongly preferred
- Competency in Word, Outlook and Excel
