This is an opportunity to carry out security assessments and security management reviews in locations Oxfam is working or is considering working; either providing management with recommendations for action or working directly to implement the action plan and provide expert advice on security related matters in the context of a particular environment including: gathering information from other organisations and institutions, and representing Oxfam in security meetings with other agencies, institutions and authorities.
We are looking for an experienced candidate with the ability to deploy at short notice to areas affected by crisis and support the rapid scale up of humanitarian programmes to meet life saving needs of affected people. To demonstrate the core competencies and behaviours agreed for humanitarian personnel. Such behaviours will help RRT members “Oxfamise” new staff during rapid scale up, when a large number of new staff are often recruited, through modelling appropriate organisational culture.
