Humanitarian Funding Manager

Full time, 9 months fixed term contract (possible extension)£39,099 - £40,282 per annum

Central London

Working at a strategic and operational level, you’ll generate and ultimately increase our humanitarian funding income so we’re even better prepared to meet the needs of those we help. This will involve managing our strategy for gaining funding from the Department for International Development and other sources with a particular focus on preparedness, capacity building and resilience. You will ensure we win humanitarian contracts by leading our work on proposals and tenders and overseeing the contracts and relationships we manage in the UK. You will also build a productive network of contacts inside and outside ActionAid who can support our aims.

 

To take on such a crucial role you must have a strong understanding of international development issues, including humanitarian response, recovery and resilience work.

Your record of securing income from a wide range of institutional donors shows you can do that here. You’re clearly skilled at developing and implementing programme funding strategies and are an effective project manager. You will be skilled at cultivating of donor relationships and also have a sound grasp of donor rules and financial control procedures as well as understanding the need to monitor and evaluate activity regularly.
