Job Summary

The Project Controlling Manager is responsible for the financial and legal execution of projects predominantly but not exclusively funded by the German government. International public and private partners complete our project portfolio. The Project Controlling Manager will work closely together with streetfootballworld’s management team and project managers. She or he will report directly to the COO of the organisation.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • You ensure that streetfootballworld complies with all legal requirements with a focus on labour, tax, contract and charity law before and during the implementation of the respective projects.
  • You are responsible for the full-circle project accounting in these projects, including the conclusion of funding agreements, negotiations with subcontractors, and the coordination of reporting – in close collaboration with our project managers.
  • You work closely with the COO to prepare and update overall annual budgets and optimize the internal planning, project management, and reporting processes.
  • You support our project managers in the definition of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and collect and analyse the relevant data.
  • You advise our project managers on calculating project budgets and the creation of project plans.
  • You work closely with our in-house accountant to continuously update and supervise project budgets and create reporting documents.

Key Requirements

  • You have an academic degree, ideally in business administration, or you offer equivalent experience.
  • You have several years of professional work experience in the areas of project management and controlling and accounting.
  • Your profound knowledge in the fields of labour, tax, contract, and charity law allows you to manage all related tasks.
  • You have good analytical skills and excellent ‪attention ‪to ‪detail.
  • ‪‪You have a very good knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel.
  • You are fluent in English and German and ideally have knowledge of another language (preferably Spanish).
  • You are assertive and proactive, with strong communication skills.
  • You have an ability to structure and carry out your workload independently.
  • You are an open-minded team player who likes to think cross-departmental and work together with people from different cultural backgrounds.
  • You identify strongly with our cause.
